Celts triumph to make it four-in-a-row in Glasgow Cup
JACK Aitchison was the hero as Celtic’s Under-17s secured a 2-1 win over Rangers at Firhill tonight (Thursday) to lift the City of Glasgow Cup for the fourth year running. Despite a tense end to the game, with the Hoops reduced to 10 men following Kerr McInroy’s dismissal, Michael O’Halloran’s side dominated the derby clash thanks to two clinical strikes in each half through Ewan Henderson and Aitchison. The majority of chances in the game fell Celtic’s way and the Bhoys saw out the final stages in comfortable fashion to retain the historic trophy.

CELTIC Under-17s were unable to clinch a fifth successive Glasgow Cup after a 10-man Hoops side lost 3-0 to Rangers. The young Hoops had to play nearly 80 minutes of the match at a man disadvantage after Brody Paterson was given his marching orders for fouling Josh McPake just outside the box. And the Ibrox side took advantage as a first-half double from Ciaran Dickson and Kai Kennedy's second-half strike gave them the silverware.

Krasse Truppe. Junge Spieler auf dem Sprung und auf der anderen Seite ein abgezockter Vollprofi, der Verträge aussitzt und Dienst nach Vorschrift macht.

Im Gegensatz zur U17 hat die U20 das Cup Final gegen die Rankers mit 3-2 gewonnen.

CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce that it has agreed terms with Tobi Oluwayemi, who has agreed a three-year contract to join the Club, subject to international approval. Initially, the plan is for Tobi to join the Reserve Team Squad, with a view to working towards the First Team. 16-year-old Tobi, is a young highly-rated goalkeeper, who has been with Tottenham Hotspur and is a player who has represented England at every international age group so far.

Darren O’Dea joins Celtic’s Academy as under-18s’ Manager
CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce a new appointment within its youth set-up, with former Celtic player Darren O’Dea joining the club as under-18s’ manager. The Former Republic of Ireland international defender re-joins Celtic from Motherwell where he was part of the academy coaching staff. Darren O’Dea enjoyed a huge level of success at Celtic as a player, lifting two league titles, a Scottish Cup and League Cup. The appointment will also see current Celtic under-18s’ coach, Stephen McManus stepping up to the position of Reserve team coach, working alongside manager, Tommy McIntyre.

Welcome back! Als Spieler und vor allem als Typen hab ich ihn immer sehr gemocht, schön dass er wieder da ist.

The Academy would like to welcome new U18 Manager, Darren O’Dea.

Darren will replace Stephen McManus, who will move to work alongside Tommy McIntyre, as Reserve Team coach.

Celtic kid Leo Mazis joins Italian Serie C side Triestina on permanent deal
CELTIC kid Leo Mazis has joined Italian side Triestina on a permanent deal. The Australian youngster moved to Parkhead from Belconnen United in February 2018 after impressing on trial. He penned a three-year deal with the Scottish champions during Brendan Rodgers' time in charge and trained with the development side. But the Canberra-born attacking midfielder failed to make the step up to the first-team and was freed without making a first-team appearance.

Future's bright as young Celts take next step on football journey
CELTIC are delighted to announce contract extensions for a number of our young players, while several of our Academy players have signed their first professional contract with the club. Stephen Welsh has signed a new three-year contract extension that will see him remain at the club until at least the summer of 2023. The 20-year-old defender, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Morton, has also made his first-team debut for Celtic. Neil Lennon selected him for the Premiership game against Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park back in February this year, and he enjoyed an impressive debut as the Hoops won 4-1.
Also signing three-year contract extensions are Adam Montgomery (forward), Brody Paterson (forward), Matthew Anderson (defender) and Adam Brooks (forward), while Paul Kennedy (midfielder) has signed a one-year contract extension.
And congratulations go the following five players, who have signed their first professional contracts with Celtic. Ben McPherson (defender), Bruno Davidson (midfielder), Joe Morrison (goalkeeper) and Ts'oanelo Lets'osa (midfielder) have all signed three-year contracts, while Joseph Murphy (midfielder) has signed a two-year contract.

Mackenzie and Dylan sign first professional contracts with Celtic
TWO more Youth Academy players have signed their first professional contracts with Celtic. Midfielder Mackenzie Carse and defender Dylan Corr both signed three-year contracts with the club.

Celtic youngster Josh Adam completes Manchester City move
The news will come as a bitter blow to the Hoops, having lost another top prospect. The steady stream of talented kids leaving the club is of a growing concern to Hoops chiefs.

Der Nächste nach Liam Morrison (letzte Saison) und Barry Hepburn, die zu den Bayern gewechselt sind...dass unsere größten Academy Talente inzwischen schon mit gerade 16 Jahren von den Superreichen abgeworben werden, kann den Verantwortlichen in der Tat kaum gefallen. Allerdings sind wir da nach den aktuellen Regeln anscheinend auch völlig machtlos und ich wüsste auch nicht, was man dagegen unternehmen könnte.
